Device approval with visible fingerprints
Team owners can now compare a short fingerprint before granting a new device access.
The practical difference
Team owners can now compare a short fingerprint before granting a new device access. We introduced this change after reviewing common support requests and watching how small teams actually organise their work. The aim is fewer surprises and a clearer route back when something changes unexpectedly.
Existing settings remain valid. New workspaces use the improved behaviour by default; administrators can review the relevant policy before enabling it for older collections.
What to check
Open your workspace settings and confirm that the right people own the collection. Run a small test with a non-critical folder, then review the result in the activity history. If anything looks different from what you expected, our help centre has a short checklist.
Available now
The update is available to all current plans without an additional charge. We will keep notes on any follow-up changes on this page rather than silently changing the described behaviour.
